"Our wedding day was smooth and calm. It was far less stressful than anyone said to expect. Our outdoor ceremony was threatened by a popup shower just as guests started to arrive, but my wife and I were encouraged to relax in our respective dressing rooms while the coordinator's team took care of everything. The decorations were whisked inside. Not a single thing was ruined. Guests were directed to a covered area and served drinks until the rain stopped. The seats were all dried and reset before our guests moved into them for the ceremony. All of this happened while my wife and I were in our respective dressing rooms, blissfully unaware of the frenzy taking place outside. When the ceremony started, Mattie was on "groom duty" and everyone knew exactly where to be and when to be there. Even my brother (who celebrated our wedding a little too hard the night before) hit all of his marks on time. Afterwards, Mattie was right there with us offering drinks, directing traffic, and holding anything that didn't need to be in the photographer's next shot out of the way. The reception was a blur, but Mattie made sure that we had a plate from the menu we picked out. When it was time to cut the cake, she was right there again with the knife and server set that we had left with her hours before. Our big day couldn't have gone any better. It turned out to be the once-in-a-lifetime event that every couple deserves."

"We were very fortunate to have Mattlyn helping us along the way. Her ability to foresee potential issues helped tremendously with vendors and family coordination of decorations. She maintained constant communication with our families and us while accompanying us to multiple venues, helping us visualize layouts, and decoration plans. Mattlyn ensured budgetary needs were met by helping hand make decorations and triage NEEDS versus WANTS. The day before the wedding Mattlyn also serving as the Matron of honor shared many details and tricks she learned with her own wedding, whilst directing the setup of decorations, chairs, and refreshment tables. USE MATTIE AS YOUR WEDDING PLANNER!!!!
Mattie was recommended to us from our venue and after our first meet and greet with her we knew she was the right planner for us. She cared not only about how the wedding was going to look but also about how we wanted to feel and how we wanted our guest to feel throughout the whole experience. That meant so much to us.
From there, she on-boarded as our 120 day out planner. Right at 120 days she was ready to hit the ground running and make our lakeside garden party dreams come true. She was there for all of my chaotic texts, my hype woman for little decor ideas I wanted to bring into reality, kept me from missing key pieces (like actually ordering a wedding cake lol!), and helped navigate last minute snafus. She seamlessly integrated all of our vendors/support that we had planned throughout the day. Coordinating with them respectfully, professionally, and thoughtfully to make sure everyone showed up Saturday morning ready to go!
Once wedding weekend was finally here Mattie hmmed about the venue from Friday through Sunday, checking every box with a big smile on her face. I truly could not tell you if something went wrong on Saturday (it was really just that great in our eyes!) but I know that Mattie was out there making sure that was the case from early in the morning until the very late hours of the night. She was so sweet and kind (while also making sure what needed to get done got done) to everyone there - not just me and my husband. This fact was really showcased to me when I saw my dad bearhug Mattie and thank her for making our wedding day so perfect. I mean come on. You want a wedding planner that illicit that kind of emotion for the father of the bride.
I don't know what more to say! I miss Mattie! I want to plan another wedding so we can hang out again! Book her!

Working with Mattlyn was THE BEST decision of the whole wedding process (besides the decision to marry my best friend 😄). She was so good with communication and was accommodating and worked with our schedule. My now husband and I were in a busy year at work and we could not have done it without her. She had so many suggestions and all the vendors she recommended were just awesome.
She was very organized on our wedding weekend and on our wedding day, I did not have to look at my phone or worry about a single thing the whole day. She even told everyone that "the bride and groom do not exist as a resource today, if you have any questions, they come to me". I was so calm the whole day and she really made our day the best day ever. She even had a beautiful baby during our wedding planning season and we felt that the planning process didn't skip a beat and she made sure everything was in a good spot before taking some well deserved maternity leave! We are still getting comments about how well planned everything was! Even handful of my friends who were on the fence about getting a planner said that seeing Mattie's work convinced them hands down that they wanted one! I will recommend her 100 times over!
She thought about all the little details that we never would have thought of. She made sure my husband and I were fed and hydrated throughout the day (people underestimate how hard it is to make sure you eat on your big day!) and we 100% trusted her make quick executive decisions on sign/table placement and any other little things that came up that my husband and I did not necessarily need to be thinking about on our wedding day. She did the most amazing job, you will not regret working with Mattlyn, she helped make our day so special ❤️.

We had the most wonderful experience with Mattlyn Shelton as the wedding planner for my daughter & SIL's wedding. We chose Mattlyn because of her experience and stories she told us of how she handled wedding day hiccups in the past. Hers was the first contract we signed, and it was the best decision we made. Mattlyn made the process of planning the wedding organized, calm and truly our own. Her excellent communication with us gave us confidence that plans were on track and under control. She was always proactive and responsive to our questions and gave us great advice and options so decisions could be ours. We really appreciated hearing current ways of handling wedding timelines, food service options and wedding day events. Our wedding location was not close to either family's home, or Mattlyn's, but that was never an issue. On wedding weekend Mattlyn & her husband ran rehearsal, set up the reception space (and packed up for us after) and executed the wedding day timeline flawlessly. No one could believe how relaxed the day was for everyone. It allowed us to enjoy our families' day as we should! Also noteworthy was the fact that during our planning year, Mattlyn moved to a different city with her family, had a baby without missing a beat. I cannot sing her praises enough.
